Greenfield has secured planning approval for two battery energy storage projects in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Emilia-Romagna 1 and Emilia-Romagna 2 projects will each have a capacity of 50 MW and four hours of storage duration, representing a combined capacity of 100 MW \/ 400 MWh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both projects will connect to the Terna transmission network and are located approximately 500 metres from the high-voltage substation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Greenfield said the projects progressed from grid connection through development and planning approval in under 15 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The projects will also provide agreed economic contributions to the local municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
